The district council expects the Ministry of Integration more binding and pace when introducing the payment card for refugees in the circles and municipalities. The conditions for the circles given by the ministry are unacceptable for the circles, said the director of the district day, Andreas Göbel, in an interview with the German press agency in Mainz.
District Day also sees technical problems
The technical requirements for use would also have to be created quickly. “The interface does not work technically,” criticized Göbel. As a result, the asylum seekers could no longer use the payment cards from the admission facilities – unlike planned – if they were distributed to the municipalities.
Payment cards have been used in all six recording facilities in the country since mid -March. Adult, single asylum seekers receive an amount of 196 euros. They could withdraw 130 euros per month.
The municipalities could probably participate in the country’s payment card in the course of this quarter after drawing a cooperation agreement, the Ministry of Integration said. The municipalities could only re -load these cards with money if they actively use the country’s system.
Göbel: Ministry counteracts nationwide resolutions
The conditions for the introduction of the payment card communicated by the ministry, in the opinion of the district day, were contrary to the nationwide agreements of the Prime Minister and State Chancellery for the payment card, said Göbel. It was always about restrictions.
The payment card should not replace an account according to the cross -border decisions and rather limit the available cash for refugees, emphasized Göbel. Transfers in particular to your own account should be prevented, otherwise the payment card can be used in a purpose. In addition, an insight into the credit stock should be made possible.
The introduction of a positive list for payments such as rent, public transport cards and club contributions is also useful. However, the ministry rejected this.
Transfers should be possible with the payment card
The 130 euros are in Rhineland-Palatinate A standard recommendation from which in individual cases could be deviated from both down and upwards, it was said in the ministry. Transfers would be made possible via the payment card.
With the limitation of the cash withdrawal from 50 to 130 euros, the circles had already been very accommodating to the country, Göbel emphasized. Now the district administrators stand in the fire for something that they couldn’t do anything for. “And in the end only the AfD uses that,” warned Göbel.
