Moscow: Russia’s President Vladimir Putin proposed to keep the neighboring country under the UN under the aegis of the United Nations on Friday to find a peaceful solution to the war with Ukraine. It is believed that Putin’s statement reflects his determination to achieve war goals. Putin, while addressing the crew of the Russian nuclear submarine, reiterated his claim that Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonski’s term ended last year and does not have the validity of signing a peace agreement.
Putin’s speech was aired on television on Friday morning. According to Ukraine’s Constitution, it is illegal to conduct general elections when martial law is implemented in the country. Putin claimed that any agreement signed by Ukraine’s current government could be challenged by its heirs. He said that new elections can be conducted under external rule. Putin said that such an external rule is “only one option”, but he did not explain it in detail.
