Intermittent Mayor Constance Arndt has presumably received a right -wing extremist threatening email. The local politician turned to the public on Instagram and shared an image of the mail. In doing so, she announced that she had filed a criminal complaint against unknown people.

The letter comes from an anonymous sender called “Adolf Hitler”. According to Arndt’s post, it literally says: “Think of Walter Lübke. Always be careful.” What is meant by the sender of the CDU politician Walter Lübcke. The Hessian government president was shot by a right -wing extremist on the terrace of his private house in 2019. The Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main sentenced the perpetrator to a lifelong prison sentence in 2021.

The sender address of the threatening email to Arndt was according to her post “nsu@gmail.com”. This makes reference to the so -called National Socialist substrate (NSU) taken. The terrorist group killed ten people from racist and right -wing extremist motifs between 2000 and 2007. Until his self -staring in 2011, the members of the NSU in Chemnitz and Zwickau lived largely undisturbed underground.

Criticism of leading CDU politicians in Saxony

“I think of what this could mean for me and my family,” wrote Arndt, who belongs to the Voter Association for Zwickau, in her post. However, she cannot be intimidated. The local politician said she was available for a respectful exchange and constructive criticism. “I am known for not avoiding any debate, like to face face. There is no reason to contact me in this form!”

Saxony Interior Minister Armin Schuster (CDU) announced that the incident was added to a number of right -wing extremists, which represented a serious social negative development. “Anyone who is responsible for the current, all borders is responsible for an official cannot feel safe,” said Schuster. Such “openly National Socialist hostility” would not be based on Saxon investigative authorities.

Also the President of the Saxon state parliament, Alexander Dierks (CDU), condemned the drohnache. “Such a threat is not only humanly hideous and crosses every limit of a political argument,” said Dierks. Such statements also poisoned democratic coexistence. The many volunteers in politics in particular are indispensable for the democratic community and earned the backing of the whole society.
