Union Minister told when the new highway will start
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Mumbai-Goa highway will be completed by June this year. This is expected to provide relief to passengers, who have been struggling with pits roads for years. The National Highway between Mumbai and Goa is expected to promote the time of travel between these places and development in the Konkan region. Gadkari accepted many challenges in completing the highway and said that there were many difficulties about the Mumbai-Goa highway but do not worry … We will complete 100 percent of the road work by June.
Land acquisition for highway is why delay
He said that due to legal disputes and internal conflicts, land acquisition for the highway was delayed. The Union Minister said that there were quarrels between the brothers, cases were going on in the court and there were endless complications in giving compensation for the land. Now those issues have been solved and work on the Mumbai-Goa highway has gained momentum.
Government will bring new toll policy- Gadkari
The Minister of Road Transport and Highways also reiterated at a program here on Monday that soon physical toll booths will be removed across the country and the center will bring a new toll policy.
