VERTIV He has announced an outstanding evolution in his Veriv Smartaisle system. The new version, already available in the European region, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), is presented as a response to the growing challenges faced by organizations when implementing EDGE computer infrastructure, especially in relation to energy efficiency, speed of deployment and regulatory compliance.

The renewed system has been designed to support work loads of up to 180 kW, and stands out for integrating into a single preconfigured unit all the key elements: food, cooling, racks and advanced management and monitoring capabilities. This integration not only simplifies planning, but allows to accelerate the installation and implementation process in Edge locations, an increasingly critical segment for real -time data processing.

«The improved Veriv Smartaisle system represents a revolution for effective and successful EDGE deployments. We have managed to be easier, faster and more affordable for scalar businesses and increase their computer operations, ”says Giuseppe Leto, senior director of the Vartiv computer systems business in the EMEA region.

VERTIV SMARTAISLE for EDGE deployments

One of the main differential values of the new smartaisle lies in its alignment with the Directive on Energy Efficiency (EED) of the European Union. With advanced PU monitoring capabilities (Power Usage Effectiveness), it allows companies to measure and improve the energy performance of their infrastructure, thus supporting their sustainability and regulatory compliance strategies.

The system incorporates the Veriv RDU501 management device, which facilitates real -time control of the complete operation of the environment, through an intuitive monitoring and operational management platform 24/7. This solution provides operators with continuous visibility on energy consumption, environmental conditions and the capacity available in each rack, thanks to a network of six sensors per server.

In addition to its operational efficiency, the new smartaisle offers clear advantages in economic and logistics terms. According to data provided by the company, this pre-designed infrastructure approach can reduce location planning and preparation times by up to 80%, and deployment costs by 30% compared to traditional alternatives. The general energy efficiency of the system is up to 20% above the average of the sector.

“This pre-designed system eliminates the traditional challenges associated with the planning and logistics of facilities with multiple equipment,” added Leto, “while providing customers with a complete and reliable comprehensive solution that will allow data centers to monitor energy efficiency requirements to meet the latest EU regulations.”

Modular and scalable approach

Veriv has developed this solution with a modular and scalable approach, which allows its uniform deployment in multiple Edge locations. The system is available in four standard configurations and has N+1 redundancy for both food and cooling systems, which guarantees a high level of availability.

Among the most prominent features include uninterrupted food systems (SAI), electrical distribution by bars or panels, adaptive cooling with modulation between 20% and 100%, and cold hallway enclosures to improve thermal efficiency. Advanced physical security measures have also been incorporated, such as electronic handles (e-handles) and IP cameras.

With this update, the company reinforces its commitment to innovation in EDGE environments and is positioned as a key actor in the energy and digital transformation of critical infrastructure. Its new proposal responds to both the technical and regulatory needs of the market, facilitating organizations a more agile, efficient and safe transition towards the future of Edge Computing.
