Holzkirchen was the scene of the swimming district championship on the short railway. The athletes from the Weilheim-Schongau region showed themselves in shape.
Wooden church -In the “Batusa” hall in Holzkirchen, the championship in swimming circuit III was held on the short track (25 meters). 162 swimmers from nine clubs were in action.
Post SV Weilheim: Small squad, twelve podium places
For the Post SV Weilheim The district championship is part of the competition calendar. This year the swimming for the association “under no good star”, said coach Andreas Haunstetter. Only four post-SV athletes were able to compete, several failed due to illness. Quirin Rohm (born 2011), one of the top favorites in his age group, also had to fit. However, the four remaining people “hit Wacker and achieved almost exclusively personal bests,” reported Haunstetter. The coach was professionally prevented, he represented young trainer Penelope Dey.
The Weilheimers won twelve podium places. Everyone from the team took at least one medal home. There were first place, by Elias Großfuss (born 2012) over 100 meters of chest (1: 39.35 minutes) and through Verena Gailler (born 2009) over 400 meters freestyle (6: 21.82). Sophie Huber (born 2011) once followed the second, Fabian Gailler (born 2011) won three silver.
TSV Schongau: 13 district titles for young swimmers
With five girls and three boys, the swimming department of the TSV Schongau traveled to the district championship. The group showed itself in a strong form. “The children presented themselves motivated, combative and full of team spirit,” said the TSV on its homepage. In the individual races “many strong placements could be achieved, some with new personal bests”. A TSV athlete won the gold medal 13 times.
It went optimally for Matvii Lashenko (born 2013) and Anna Leashenko (born 2016): Both won their races. Matvii Lashenko won five gold medals, namely 50 meters into the layers of freestyle (33.32), chest (44.57) and butterfly (41.30). In addition, the circular titles were on the 100-meter routes (1: 26.80) and chest (1: 36.14). Anna Lashenko was victorious three times over the 50 meters; She won the layers of freestyle (42.50), breast (56.81) and back (54.09). In doing so, she clearly undercut her reporting time.

Horhii Lyssytskyi (born 2015) also had a top yield: he won over 50 meters freestyle (40.47), 50 meters back (50.87) and 100 meters freestyle (1: 34.88). He finished the race over the 50 meter breast. Lara Lindauer (born 2011) won the gold medal over the 100 meters (1: 33.85). It was second over the 50 meter freestyle (35.04), breast (45.12) and back (41.41). Katharina Wolf (born 2010) won two titles, which left the competition behind the breast traces over 50 meters (43.61) and 100 meters (1: 35.51).
Lara Schwentzek (born 2013), Leonie Wiedemann (born 2012) and Simon Langwieser (born 1999) won at least one medal. For the young Schongauer, the disqualification in the mixed freestyle relay was a shame due to an early start at the third position, but this happens in the zeal of the moment.
TSV Weilheim: prepared for a year for a year
For the newly formed competition team of the TSV Weilheim It was the debut at a district championship. With the yield, both the coaching team and the athletes were “satisfied”, as it says in a message. Six gold, five times silver and once bronze – that was the balance.
The TSV swimmers had been preparing for a year. “The training with up to 5000 meters a week has proven itself. Unfortunately, the season was disqualified due to an attack error-but we are planning further competitions and the next time it works for sure,” said TSV trainer Michael Hirth.

Timon Huth (born 2009) convinced with four first places. He won over 50 meters freestyle (28.91), 50 meter breast (38.28), 50 meters butterfly (31.58) and 100 meters freestyle (1: 04.99). Olivia Babilon (born 2010) won over 400 meters freestyle (6: 27.09) and 50 meters back (45.31). There was silver on the freestyle routes 50 meters and 100 meters.
Meanwhile, Constanze Oberem (born 2010) was happy about 50 meters breast (44.39) and over 100 meters breast (1: 37.93) each about a personal best and a silver medal. There was also bronze over 100 meters freestyle (1: 24.55). Club colleague Ina Sättler (born 2008) proved “in a tactically clever racing spirit,” said a message about the 400 meter freestyle. The time of 6: 18.02 minutes gave her silver. Johanna Ernst (born 2010) showed “a strong development”, said the TSV. In freestyle she significantly improved her personal bests and thus opened up to the competition.
SGO Penzberg: 21 athletes get many medals
The young women and men traveled with a whole bunch of medals SG Oberland-Penzberg from the district championship home. The 21 athletes won gold twelve times, 14 times silver and eleven times bronze.
Four medals at four starts, that was the balance of Marlene Fiehne (year 2008). She took first place over the 50 meter back (38.45). The SGO swimmer took over 50 meters of freestyle (32.08), 100 meters back (1: 22.26) and 100 meters freestyle (1: 12.09). Lotta Friedrich (born 2014) won four gold. It was – each with personal best – the best over 200 meters (3: 21.38), 100 meters back (1: 27.91), 50 meters back (42.93) and 100 meters freestyle (1: 21.57).
410 points over 100 meters chest
Luisa Fiehne (born 2006). The victory over the 100 meter breast (1: 23.94) meant 410 points. The first rank over the 50 meter breast (38.44) brought 402 points. The points are based on the world record currently valid in the Olympic period. The world record means 1000 points.
(Incidentally, everything from the region is now also available in our regular Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter.)
The SGO boys also emerged as medal collectors. Benedikt Schächtl (born 2006) won over 400 meters freestyle (5: 02.36/personal best time) and over 100 meters breast (1: 17.39). For Felix Rudolph (born 2007) there were twice silver (100 meters of chest/200 meters) and bronze twice (100 meters freestyle/50 meters breast). Paul Artmann (born 2010) is a district champion over the 100 meter back (1: 14.34/personal best time).
Grün-Weiß Holzkirchen: Three best times for Hoffmeyer
For them, the appearance in Holzkirchen was also a home competition, although they come from the local district: Moritz Hoffmeyer (born 2005) from Weilheim and his girlfriend Michelle Fischer (born 2007) from Raisting start for the host of the district championship, SV Grün-Weiß. “The atmosphere in the team was, just mega-good. Everyone was of course extremely motivated in the home competition, it was an uncanny dynamic,” said Hoffmeyer.
The conditions in the “Batusa” indoor pool are the Weilheimer; He had achieved personal bests there several times. This time he reaches three house records. At the first start, over the 200 meters, Hoffmeyer was more quickly than ever before. He improved his best time in the cool swimming cup this year by more than a second to 2: 27.11 minutes. Behind the older teammates Ludwig Huber (born 1996) and Kai Bjarne Niederau (born 2002), the rank meant third place.

He then won the next best time over 100 meters of butterfly. In doing so, Moritz Hoffmeyer with Huber a head-to-head race, with the Weilheimer lay the first three lanes just ahead. The last turn then did not get perfectly, so Huber passed. The time of 1: 04.17 minutes meant silver. Then it went over 100 meters back – again Hoffmeyer achieved a personal record. After 1: 03.94 minutes he struck second, he had increased his record by almost two tenths of a second. “Super-satisfied” was Hoffmeyer with the back and butterfly appearances. “The new best times were great and the tight races with Ludwig and Kai the salt in the soup.”
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.)
As a result, as far as times are concerned, it was no longer so optimal. Nevertheless, there were medals: over 50 meters back (29.72) silver, over 50 meters butterfly (28.55) bronze. Fifth place (58.85) jumped out on the 100-meter freestyle route. The 50 meter backs are actually Hoffmeyer’s parade discipline, but “somehow it doesn’t fit here at the moment,” said his conclusion. The two gold medals in the seasons (layers/freestyle mixed) and the bronze badge in the all-round rating were compensation.
From the soccer field to the swimming pool
Michelle Fischer, who has been a footballer to date to date, completed her first swimming competition in Holzkirchen. Especially before the first start, over the 50 meter freestyle, “I was mega nervous and excited,” reported the novice. The time of 37.29 seconds meant eighth place among eight participants. The 50 meter breast (45.22) ended Fischer as fifth. “You can’t complain for the first time. I am relatively satisfied with the times, but of course there is still a lot of room for improvement.”
Fischer also had an assignment with the female 4 x 50-meter layout. The silver medal (2: 27.46) jumped out for her alongside Johanna Miciecki, Lucia Proverbio and Elsa Haupt. “The super mood in the team carried you,” said the debutantian.
