Fewer and fewer law students want to become classic lawyers. The job is no longer attractive. This is a problem for law firms – and unfortunately also for consumers.

Maria Nopper was extremely popular after studying law. She had completed the second state examination with the predicate grade, with 12 out of 18 points. With 700 Jura references, she was the seventh best across Lower Saxony. She had learned 50 hours every week. “I looked at it like my job.” They finally wanted to hire several well -known law firms, they attracted with an entry content of more than 145,000 euros plus bonuses. But Nopper, then 29, excluded all offers. She decided on civil service and is now working as an administrative judge in Hanover – for less than half of the money.
