Katzenomi is urgently looking for a new home

The older cat Julia has been living in Hamburg’s Süderstrasse animal shelter since April. Who will provide a home for the “worry animal of the month for October”?

The twelve-year-old brown and black tabby cat warms many hearts with her friendly disposition. Julia is a quiet older European Shorthair and wants a quiet home without children.

The cat would be very happy about a place to retreat to and a scratching post. Julia would also like a secured balcony so that she can occasionally keep her little cat’s nose in the fresh wind.

Julia is a lovely cat who loves to cuddle. But she wants to decide for herself when the petting session takes place and when it is enough. Over the course of its life, the cat had to stand up for itself often enough, according to the Hamburg animal welfare association.

This is reflected in their self-confidence. Julia is a “lone princess”. She doesn’t need any companions in her new home.

Julia suffers from thyroid disease. That’s why she is fed medication, which now works without any problems. If the cat lady doesn’t feel comfortable, she may not stay completely clean. However, animal rights activists assume that things will improve in a quieter, safer environment.

Until Julia finds a new home and can move out of the cat house, the Süderstraße animal shelter would also be happy to accept a sponsorship. Anyone who is interested can fill out a self-disclosure form on the animal protection association’s website and send it to the facility.
