This temple of South Karnataka is prevalent for ‘Sarp Sanskar’. Now Katrina Kaif was also seen participating in a two -day worship of snake rites in Kuke Shri Subrahmanya Temple. The puja started on Tuesday and ended on Wednesday. The actress arrived here with some of her friends, where she was seen worshiping.

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif reached the temple with some of her friends and performed Sarp Sanskar Puja. This puja is usually performed by ancestors as atonement to kill a snake ie serpent. This puja is concluded in 2 stages and lasts for about four to five hours. Katrina took part in this special puja four to five hours daily on Tuesday and Wednesday. She stayed at the temple’s VIP guest house. When the Katrina came out of the temple premises after attending this ritual held in the temple in the afternoon, she hid her face from a dupatta to hide her identity.
What is a snake rite?
These rituals are performed for freedom from snake dosha, Kalsarp Dosha and Nag Dosha. It is believed that if a person’s ancestors have been inadvertently or deliberately hit or harmed the serpent, then this special ritual is performed to get rid of his influence.
