Lando Norris on McLaren took pole position for the Italian GP. The Briton preceded his teammate Oscar Piastri. Third time for Mercedes George Russellfourth Charles Leclercfifth Carlos Sainz.
“Fantastic. An all-McLaren front row is a nice surprise” commented Lando Norris smiling at the Grand Prix Monzathe fifth in his career. “I don’t expect an easy race tomorrow. There are many unknowns due to degradation, the heat, the new asphalt. And the first variant here is always a big challenge” he added.
