Scientists not warned about India’s geological future
Scientists are warned about the natural disasters in the world. This time he has issued a very worrying alert regarding India’s geological future. Geologists have indicated that the Indian plate is now going through the process of dividing into two parts and this development can increase the possibility of earthquakes in the country in the coming time. A research published in the US Geophysical Union gives detailed information about this situation, stating that the Indian plate is now going through a new geological process, which is called “delimitation”.
What is the delimitation process?
Delimitation is a geological process, in which the lower part of the tectonic plate is absorbed into the mental of the Earth. During this time, vertical cracks arise inside the plate, which can affect its stability. This process can change the structure of plates and can increase the possibility of natural disasters such as earthquakes in that area. Scientists believe that the Indian plate, which had been hitting the Eurasian plate for the last 60 million years, has now entered a new phase.
Increasing earthquake chances
This discovery is also important in the sense that this will help in understanding the severity and nature of earthquakes in India. After analysis of earthquake waves and helium isotopes in Tibetan springs, scientists claimed to have reached this conclusion. As a result, a vertical crack was found inside the plate, which was unknown to scientists earlier.

Scientific outlook
“We have never thought that the continents can behave in this way in this way. It is a very fundamental discovery for Earth science,” says Dowway Van Hinansbergen, geologist at YouTract University. He says that this discovery proves that not only the thickness and characteristics of the plate surface can vary, but also the internal processes affecting the tectonic shift can also change very quickly, which is extremely difficult to understand.
