The oceanic navigator Hugo Ramón has started Tuesday at 5:03:00 a.m., aboard the crystallmin-majorica, his six and a half meters sailboat, the attempt to beat the record of the Tour of Mallorca alone, established in 25 hours and six minutes by the azuree of Eduardo Horrach In September 2020. The wind, at the time of departure, blew from the southwest with an intensity of 20 knots.
Ramón faces this attempt as part of his preparation for the mini transat 2025, The prestigious solo transatlantic regatta in which it will compete for the fourth time aboard this same vessel.
“I had been waiting for today’s conditions for four months, in which the winds revolve around Mallorca, so as not to have to sail as tight, or at least not do it for too long, ”he explained shortly before releasing moorings. «A while ago we knew that today was the day and in the end we have been adjusting the time.
