Madrid Another Look is a program of visits to the cultural heritage of Madrid between October 17 and 20 organized by the Madrid City Council itself. It represents a way to learn about its history and architecture through workshops, routes, screenings and even free concerts.

This year, in addition, the event focuses on 150th anniversary of the birth of the architect Antonio Palaciosauthor of the famous Gran Vía temple and many other buildings, such as the Palacio de Cybele.

Registration for this event opens this Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m.. And, as a recurring tip in this type of programs, it is always advisable to go to the website early to be able to get the tickets, since they sell out very quickly.

The program includes up to 230 activities and some of the most notable are the following:

  • Route through the Malasaña neighborhood.

As the main novelty, this year the Cabalgata de la Hispanidad, which has representation from all participating countries, will parade along Gran Vía with a total of six floats.

23 new institutions

One of the surprises that there will be is the inclusion of 23 new institutions that will be in Madrid Otra Mirada for the first time, within the framework of MOM, which will allow you to see buildings such as the Auditorium of the Complutense University of Madrid; the House of Velázquez in Ciudad Universitaria; the Adanero, Santa Coloma and Marqués de Salamanca Palaces, of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, the Consulate General of Italy and the BBVA Foundation, respectively; the African and Modern Art museums; or the hotels Hospes Puerta de Alcalá, Fénix Gran Meliá, Innside Madrid Gran Vía and The Madrid Edition.
