Chilean wingsuit specialist Sebastian Alvarez has combined two of his favorite hobbies, skydiving and surfing, to perform the first combined jump between these two disciplines on Abu Dhabi’s Hudayriyat Island.
Alvarez boarded from a helicopter at 3,657 meters in the air to “land” at Surf Abu Dhabi and ride a 2.3 meter artificial wave.
The acrobatic feat dates back to 19 December last year but the video was only published today, a few days before the first professional surfing competition hosted by the UAE facility on 27, 28 and 29 September.
