In the Paralympic national team there is an athlete who is here not only to show that his country, and his people, are moving forward despite the Russian invasion and the war, but also to send a message to all those who, like him, found themselves on the battlefield and paid the consequences.
Yevhenii Korinetsshirt no.2 of Ukraine, was a military paramedic who, at 25 years old, had never set foot outside his country and at a certain point found himself at the front. In March last year, due to the serious injuries sustained while trying to help fellow soldiers who were fighting in Bakhmut, he had to have his left leg amputated at the calf.
