In large parts Brandenburgs the forest fire risk is high due to the drought. In six counties, especially in the northern regions, the danger level 4 prevailed – this means a high risk of fire. In Prignitz in northwestern Brandenburg, even the highest level 5 was applied.
For the other seven counties in the middle and in the south, an average danger was given (level 3). This emerges from data from the Ministry of Forestry. There were already some in March and April Forest fires in Brandenburg, which remained limited and could be deleted quickly.
Easter fire could be banned
In particular, organizers of the Easter fire are looking forward to the weather and whether there is a strong wind. Easter fire can be banned from the forest fire risk level 4.
The situation could relax plenty of rain. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday. It stays warm with values of partly over 25 degrees. For Maundy Thursday, the DWD predicted a low showman.
Consider distance to forests
The forest law in the Brandenburg prohibits fire at a distance of less than 50 meters to the edge of the forest. This also includes grilling on the lake shores near the forest, as the Ministry reports.
A meadow caught fire for an 80th birthday in Herzberg in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin on Monday evening in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin. The fire was probably triggered by sparking flights, the police said.
