The lags and delays in the menus are one of the biggest annoyances in EA SPORTS FC 25 shortly after its release. The developer promises improvement – but it will only be fixed on one platform for now.
Does Title Update 2 fix EA SPORTS FC 25 menus?

EA SPORTS couldn’t help but address the many criticisms of FC 25’s menus sooner or later. The outcry from the community was too massive, the lags and delays in the game were too obvious. In some cases, the football simulation only reacted after several inputs, and navigation became a test of nerves. While the fans were still dissatisfied with the content of Title Update 1, EA SPORTS is now dedicating itself to the construction site with the second patch for FC 25.
“Sometimes key inputs were not registered when executing actions in the menus,” EA SPORTS understates as usual in the patch notes for Title Update 2. The fact that the problem has been identified gives fans hope. Most players will only find out in the coming days whether the developer actually provides a significant remedy. Because Title Update 2 is currently only available for PC users. PlayStation and Xbox players should also benefit in the “near future”.
Instability as an omnipresent problem
In addition to possible improvements to the menu disaster, EA SPORTS worked on controller compatibility issues when using Steam input. This must now be activated before starting FC 25 if everything is to work as intended. Otherwise, the developer addresses various cases of instability in the game: “in all online modes”, in the FUT store, when entering squad battles and in the manager career.
Specifically in Ultimate Team, EA SPORTS is also implementing fixes for the display of unwanted user interface elements and the message display when an evolution begins.
If you continue to struggle with the menus until Title Update 2 is released for PlayStation and Xbox, you could try a workaround. The response time modifier in the settings seems to be partly responsible for the lags and delays – we have already reported on the feature.
