They should shape German football for at least a decade: Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz – the two exceptional talents. How good are Bayern and Bayer-Jewel in the new EA SPORTS FC 25?
How strong does EA SPORTS rate Musiala (l.) and Wirtz (r.) in FC 25?

Not only did FC Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen draw 1-1 on Saturday, but also Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz. The duel between the top clubs was also a duel between the top talents – without a winner. In the German national team, however, the two can be admired together. They are certainly one reason why the DFB’s football has been looking up again in the last few months. Uphill is also a good keyword for Musiala and Wirtz in EA SPORTS FC 25.
Both were able to increase their overall rating compared to FC 24. However, while Musiala only gained one point (from 86 to 87), Wirtz gained a whole three points (from 85 to 88). This means that the Leverkusen player has overtaken the Munich team in terms of the overall rating – no surprise after the championship season. Together with Antonio Rüdiger, Wirtz is the second highest rated German in FC 25 – only surpassed by goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen (89).
Musiala with the higher FC 25 zenith
If Wirtz Musiala is currently buying the edge when it comes to overall ratings, that could change in the future: The FCB jewel has 93 potential in FC 25’s career mode – one point more than the Bayer diamond. Which makes Musiala one of the game’s greatest talents. EA SPORTS currently sees Wirtz as a slightly more mature, rounder player, but estimates his DFB comrade’s perspective zenith to be a little higher.
The fact that both are nominally playmakers, but are still very different types of players, is also reflected in FC 25. Musiala also comes digitally with his outstanding dribbling (94), which he combines with fantastic agility and balance (93 each). At Wirtz in FC 25, no attribute falls into the spheres of these three individual values. The Leverkusen player’s main focus is on overview and short passes (91 each).
But Musiala can’t quite keep up in terms of width: The Munich player has 13 stats with 80 points or more – Wirtz has 16. Outside of the goalkeeper-specific attributes, Musiala only falls below 50 points once, while his national team colleague does so four times. They share the lowest field player rating: their header precision can each be improved virtually (Musiala 49, Wirtz 42).
Five-star skills and ridiculously expensive
The Bayern star shines in FC 25 with five stars for the special moves and four stars for the weak foot. Wirtz can still hold his own in the weak foot rating, but his skill moves are one star weaker. On the other hand, the Werkself top performer is a little more flexible, which is reflected in the player roles: Wirtz has “Invisible Striker++”, “Motor+” and “Wing-Motor+”. Musiala also has “Invisible Striker++”, but with “Inside Striker Professional” only a + role.
No matter which of the ten players, who can also play on the left side, you choose: both will be expensive in career mode. Musiala’s release clause is 236.8 million euros, his digital market value is estimated at 128 million. Wirtz can “already” be released from Bayer for 230.3 million, but probably has a slightly higher market value at 133.5 million. In addition, the Leverkusen player earns 115,000 euros a week in FC 25, a lot more than Musiala – for whom it is virtually 87,000.
