In the event of a failed overtaking maneuver on Autobahn 13, two people were seriously injured in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district. In total, three vehicles were involved in the accident between Ortrand and Ruhland on Monday evening, the police said. They were traveling towards Berlin.
According to police, the driver of a team with two charged cars was exhausted to overtake a truck. But the man abruptly turned up again shortly later and touched the vehicle.
After that, the 37-year-old person who caused the accident fell and then joined against a car coming from behind and against the middle course plank. Both drivers were brought to a clinic with serious injuries, the truck driver was not injured.
The accident area between the A13 junction and Ruhland towards Berlin was closed due to clean -up work to the late evening hours.
