Several men are said to have threatened a 25-year-old in Ludwigshafen with a weapon, among other things, in order to extort money from him. As the Rhine-Palatinate police headquarters and the Frankenthal public prosecutor’s office jointly announced, the man was ordered to a meeting point by telephone with threats. On Thursday night, several men allegedly threatened him with a gun and threatened him with death if he didn’t pay 20,000 euros in three days.

The young man then had the police notified. According to their own statements, they immediately carried out a search and checked five suspects between the ages of 21 and 50. No weapon was found. Further investigations led to a 22-year-old as another suspected suspect. According to police, no weapon was found during a search of the 22-year-old suspect’s apartment. The investigations by the public prosecutor’s office and the criminal police continue.
