In what meant her first “Mañanera del Pueblo” from the National Palace, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbam Pardo, announced that asked the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, to give priority to the attention of Mexican migrants who are in the United States.
“Yesterday I said it in the Zócalo, I asked Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Dr. Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, that your priority be migrants“, said.
“Juan Ramón has that mandate “I told him about it from the first day I invited him to be Secretary of Foreign Affairs,” he noted.
The first president of Mexico said that the Mexican foreign minister is developing a program for Mexican Consulates where the treatment received by Mexicans who live and work in the United States will be monitored in addition to the procedures they require.
“He will personally make a program for all the Consulatesand he will personally follow up not only on the treatment that our brothers and sisters who live there receive, but also on all the procedures they normally carry out,” he said.
The Mexican president emphasized being able to solve the problems that Mexican migrants present when going to the Consulates to carry out some type of procedure.
“Many of the procedures carried out at the Consulates are civil registration and the civil registries are from the States, it is not a federal attribution but rather a state and Mexico City one, so we have to solve that problem of how there is a relationship with all the States of the Republic, their civil registries and other services that provide for that these services in the Consulates and treatment in general are efficientlegal support and everything he requires, then Juan Ramón has that mandate that I told him about from the first day I invited him to be Secretary of Foreign Affairs,” he stated.
Sheinbaum Pardo took advantage of his first morning press conference to express his recognition and support for the Mexican migrants who send their remittances to Mexico daily.
“First our love, recognition, support, everything to the Mexicans who live abroad and particularly in the United States, not only the gratitude for the support they give to their families, to Mexico, every month or when they send their remittances, but because They are heroes and heroines. They left our country looking for a future that they could not find in Mexico and that they remain close to Mexico always, our gratitude, recognition,” he expressed.
Claudia Sheiunbaum once again made reference to and commitment to supporting Mexican migrants in the United States since she took office as president of Mexico yesterday, Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
