Sustainability is no longer only a trend, but a necessity in the business world. Aware of this, HP HP Renew Solutions has launched in Spain, an innovative technological reconditioning program that offers companies a sustainable and efficient alternative for the management of their devices.
This initiative, available from April 30, seeks to prolong the useful life of the equipment, reduce the generation of electronic waste and minimize the environmental impact.

The reconditioned devices sector has experienced sustained growth in Spain. According to the Spanish Association of Electronics Recyclers (Aere), in the last decade this market has grown by 12% per year and is expected to exceed 1,000 million euros in 2025. This increase responds to the growing concern for sustainability and the need to reduce the carbon footprint derived from technological consumption.
HP Renew Solutions offers a comprehensive solution for the responsible management of computer devices. Thanks to a meticulous reconditioning process, the equipment is optimized to guarantee high standards of performance, safety and reliability. “We want our customers to have the peace of mind that HP reconditioned devices offer a user experience similar to that of a new team,” says Noelia Rodríguez, head of sustainability services in HP.
Among the key benefits of the program are:
- Extension of useful life: Restored devices can have extended support of up to five years.
- Carbon footprint reduction: The use of these equipment can decrease the carbon footprint of a technological fleet between 20% and 40%.
- Economic savings: The management of reconditioned devices allows to reduce costs between 5% and 15%.
- Guaranteed security: HP offers a certified data deletion service, ensuring the protection of the sensitive information of companies.
- Circular economy in action: The devices can be reused within business contracts, promoting a more sustainable business model.

For years we have been developing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our products and services, and HP Renew Solutions is another step in that direction ».
HP Renew Solutions not only offers reconditioned equipment, but also complementary solutions, such as neutral carbon certification, which allows companies to measure and reduce their environmental footprint, and the device collection and recycling service, guaranteeing a responsible treatment of them.
Spain, pioneer at the launch of HP Hope
HP has chosen Spain as one of the first countries for the launch of HP Hope. «We are very proud that Spain leads this program. It is a project that began during the pandemic with a working group in Barcelona, and has now become a key initiative within our global sustainability strategy, ”says Noelia Rodríguez.
Through this initiative, HP recovers client and partners equipment, reconditions and delivers them to non -profit organizations and educational centers. In Spain, HP Hope has collaborated with YMCA Europe, benefiting more than 6,000 young people with access to technology and training in digital skills. This approach reinforces HP’s commitment to sustainability and digital education.
