It must be clear that the rules that appear and that fight against the famous climate change They are appearing every so often. The result is that they alter some of the actions that appear in everyday life and with which what human beings did was harm the environment.
All of these new laws are going to be for the good of the planet and have to be applied using common sense, but in the same way if you want to save a considerable fine.
A law that is activated in a large part of the national territory
The Law that deals with Climate Change and Energy Transition It is beginning to be activated in an important part of our country, so there are new possibilities of being subject to sanctions. All of this means that many city councils have begun to issue serious warnings about the regulations, especially those regarding Low Emission Zones (ZBE).
Currently, only a minority activates this law in the cities, although let us not forget that it will be mandatory in the future in municipalities and cities that have a population of more than fifty thousand inhabitants. There are a series of municipal ordinances that will require us to wear an environmental label from the General Directorate of Traffic in the event that we do not want to be subject to a fine or sanction.
Labels to access a ZBE
If you want to avoid a fine, you must wear one of the following labels in a Low Emission Zone:
Type B Label
Which corresponds to passenger cars and gasoline vans from January 2001 to 2005, in which we are going to include diesel cars and vans from 2006 to August 2015.
Type C Label
The one indicated for passenger cars and light vans that run on gasoline and that were registered since 2006 and diesel cars and vans that are registered since September 2015.
Type Zero Label
It is created for electrified cars, those with extended range, plug-in hybrids that have a range of forty kilometers and fuel cell cars.
Eco Label
The most suitable for those plug-in hybrid vehicles that are not going to travel distances of more than forty kilometers in electric mode, those that run on natural gas and hybrids that are not plug-in.
And what happens with historic vehicles?
In recent times, a lot has been read about the whole topic of this type of vehicles and the legislative change that occurs with them. Basically, cars that are more than thirty years old will be able to circulate in city centers.
This measure is part of the administration’s intention to preserve the heritage of the Spanish vehicle fleet, something that was increasingly in danger of disappearing due to this whole issue of environmental labels and the prohibition of driving on some cities.
We are going to know a little more about them, since in addition, making your vehicle historic is going to be somewhat simpler than before and more economical in all cases.
What are the requirements that must be met?
There are three:
Antique
In this classification, it must be at least thirty years old since it was registered or manufactured. It must be in its original condition. There must be no changes to elements such as the engine, brakes, steering, bodywork or suspension.
special interest
The model will have to be registered in the so-called General Inventory of Movable Property of the Spanish Historical Heritage, being declared as an asset of cultural interest, or that the vehicle participated in some historical event or belonged to an important person.
Collectible vehicle
This option is when few units have been manufactured, that is, it is a unique model, which will justify its entry as historical.
What are the advantages of historic cars?
Whoever enters this group will have a series of benefits, both for maintenance and circulation. You will be exempt from complying with anti-pollution regulations.
For this reason you will be able circulate through the ZBE without problems and it will not be affected by the restrictions that occur in episodes of high pollution.
The last advantage that will be associated will have to do with the passing of the ITV, since although they have to pass it, those under forty years old will pass it every two years, those between forty and forty-five every three years and with more than forty-five every four years.
