The lawyer appearing before the court to present the side of the CBI said that he had also brought the ‘case diary’ as per the instructions given by the bench during the last hearing.

The court asked, did the gang rape indicate?

During the hearing, the court asked whether the crime has been indicated by gang rape. Has the CBI identified additional suspects. Deputy Solicitor General Rajdeep Majumdar, who appeared on behalf of the CBI, said that the matter does not come under Section 70 (gang rape) of the Code of Justice of India (BNS).

14 -member medical board formed by doctors

He told the court that forensic examination of all DNA samples available from the crime site has been conducted and a 14 -member medical board of doctors from hospitals across the country has been constituted. Mazumdar said that no forensic evidence has not been established and ‘DNA Profiling’ was only convicted on the accused Sanjay Roy.

CBI investigated all aspects

He said that apart from these reports, the CBI investigated every aspect of the case and questioned many doctors, nurses, employees and others. The court said that discrepancies have been found between investigation and post -mortem reports.

Sanjay Roy was given a dreadful punishment by the session court

Judge Ghosh underlined that two bruises have been mentioned in the investigation report but the post mortem report did not contain the above information. The court questioned which aspect is currently investigating by keeping the CBI at the center. In response, Mazumdar said that the agency is investigating whether there was a big conspiracy behind the crime and whether any attempt was made to destroy the evidence. In this case, the session court of Sealdah sentenced a person named Sanjay Roy to be convicted and imprisoned till death. (With language input)
