In their second match of IPL 2025, the Chennai Super Kings team lost by five wickets against RCB. Chennai bowlers and batsmen flopped badly in this match. Chennai gave three life to RCB captain Rajat Patidar, who took the team to 196 runs for seven wickets by scoring a half -century. After this, the CSK team could score only 146 runs. Gaikwad has blamed the defeat in the match on poor fielding.

Ruturaj Gaikwad told mistake

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said after the defeat that I still feel that the score of 170 was right on this ground. It was not easy to bat here. We lost the match due to poor fielding. If you were chasing a target of 170 runs, there would have been some more time. But by giving 20 runs waste, one has to play differently in the powerplay which we could not play. We dripped the catch and their batsmen kept hitting fours sixes. His run -up did not slow down till the last over. We feel that we have to work hard on fielding.

Batsmen performed poorly

Except for Chennai Super Kings, no batsman except Rachin Ravindra could do good batting. Rachin scored 41 runs for the team. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad could not even open his account. Rahul Tripathi, Sam Karan and Deepak Hooda also failed to reach the double digits. Ravindra Jadeja and Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the end tried to put some big strokes, but by then it was too late. Jadeja scored 25 runs and Dhoni scored 30 runs.

Silver Patidar scored half -century

Rajat Patidar, who was elected ‘Player of the Match’ from the innings of 51 runs for RCB, said it was a good score on this ground as it was not easy to hit fours sixes. On the victory after 17 years on Chepock, he said that it is always special to win here because Chennai fans encourage their team.
