The Borussia started the new training week with bad news. Nathan Ngoumou had a harder time. And the favorite for the place on the right side is not yet available to Gladbach in Augsburg.

Gerardo Seoane has to come up with something. His first two candidates for the right wing are not available for the away game at FC Augsburg on Friday evening. Franck Honorat (torn muscle fiber in his calf) doesn’t make it back in time. Nathan Ngoumou will even be out for a few weeks.
Ngoumou had to leave the pitch in the 76th minute of Saturday’s 1-0 home win against Union Berlin. The suspicion of a muscle injury was confirmed after subsequent examinations. The diagnosis: Ngoumou has torn a muscle fiber in his thigh. The offensive player will be missing from Gladbach for several weeks.
Ngoumou may only be eligible for the away game at Mainz 05 on October 25th. After the game in Augsburg there will be a break in international play, then Borussia will continue in the league with the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim. However, that may come too soon for Ngoumou.
The Frenchman took over the position on the right wing after the injury to compatriot Honorat, who had to miss the two previous games in Frankfurt (0-2) and against Union due to a torn fiber in his calf. But it is now clear: the hope that Honorat could return to the team against Augsburg has not been fulfilled. The dynamic top preparer, who collected eleven assists last season, has to take a further break and is not an alternative for Friday evening. The next goal is the home game against Heidenheim.
Hack and Cvancara are possible
The regular player is injured, the substitute too – Seoane will now work out who he will put on the right offensive side in Augsburg. Tomas Cvancara, who scored the last-minute winner against Union, could start on the right for the first time this season. At least it wouldn’t be completely out of the question for Robin Hack to change sides, who usually comes from the left wing. Hack and Cvancara both acted as jokers against Union: it was only Hack’s wonderful cross that enabled the Czech’s header to secure their first home win of the season. Nevertheless, Cvancara is probably ahead for Augsburg.
