Milan-It was a shock for the biathlon world when Lisa Vittozzi, the celebrated overall World Cup winner of the 2023/24 season, suddenly disappeared out of the spotlight. The injury came at a very unfavorable time, because the 30-year-old was in the best form and ready to defend her title. Vittozzi is currently participating in a special rehabilitation program to keep the pain under control and slowly get used to the stress of competitive sports. “I am satisfied because I feel progress every day. That makes me much more relaxed,” she explained optimistic. Her gaze is already focused on the 2026 Winter Olympics in Antholz, where she wants to celebrate her first Olympic victory.

Vittozzi have taught the past few months to take the necessary time to relax. “I learned that you should follow the signals of the body and head and take your space and breaks,” reflects the biathlete. These findings could help her deal better with the challenges of top sports in the future.
