Germany’s largest armaments group Rhine metal In the area of rescue and disposal of ammunition, and takes over the ordnance recovery company Stascheit. The purchase contract has already been concluded, said Rheinmetall. The company from Gardelegen in Saxony-Anhalt is to become a 100 percent subsidiary Rheinmetall and complement the product portfolio “decisively”. The group did not provide any information at the purchase price.
“With the takeover of Stascheit, we strengthen our position in the area of security solutions,” said Deniz Akitürk, Managing Director of Rheinmetall Project Solutions. The Anhalt company is to become part of this Rheinmetall division.
Stascheit GmbH was previously owner -managed. Her main business area includes recognizing, mounting and destruction of fighting materials and contaminated sites. In the medium term, Rheinmetall, according to its own statements, is aiming for an annual turnover of 80 million euros with the new subsidiary.
The company has already worked with Rheinmetall in the past – for example in the detection of fighting in the North Sea. It was about tracking down fighter in the North Sea and maintenance work on offshore wind farms. Before the laying of submarines in the Baltic Sea and Spain, ammunitional loads would have been destroyed together, it said.
Rheinmetall only announced the purchase of the supplier Hagedorn-NC last week. The company from Osnabrück produces so -called nitro cellulose, which is part of shooting powder.
