The firefighters were called for a serious road accident this Wednesday morning at 8:30 am near the town of Pacé, west of Rennes. A pedestrian who was on the four lane was broke by a heavyweight which was circulating on the RN12 in the direction of Saint-Brieuc. According to the first observations, the 56 -year -old man walked on the road axis, without anyone knowing why. The accident occurred at the Pacé bridge.
Upon arrival on site, firefighters discovered the man in cardiopulmonary arrest. Despite resuscitation attemptsthe pedestrian died. The heavyweight driver, shocked, was taken care of by the emergency services.
A deviation implemented
This accident caused major traffic jams on the axis connecting Rennes to Saint-Brieuc. Traffic has been cut and a deviation has been put in place.
