Was the doctor a serial killer? This Wednesday, the Berlin prosecutor’s office asked for the referral of a doctor in homemade palliative care suspected of fifteen murders on patients in the German capital.
This 40 -year -old practitioner, arrested in August 2024, was so far suspected of having made at least eight victims, the justice continuing to investigate other possible cases.
A simple “desire to kill”?
The man is accused of having killed the victims of which he was responsible, between September 2021 and July 2024, with medicines and of having set fire to the accommodation of some of them to “hide the murders”, wrote the prosecution in a press release.
The victims, twelve women and three men aged 25 to 94, were killed “by the cunning and for futile reasons”, affirms the prosecution, which claims a trial and a conviction accompanied by the recognition of the particular gravity of the facts, a detention of safety and a professional prohibition for life.
Currently in pre -trial detention, the doctor “has not expressed himself so far on the charges against him,” said the prosecutor’s office.
The prosecution had indicated during a previous investigation point that the mobile chosen was “the desire to kill”.
