SV Elversberg continues to mix vigorously in the promotion struggle of the 2nd Bundesliga. Through the 3: 1 (0: 1) at Hannover 96 The Saarlanders jumped on the promotion relegation place three. The Lower Saxony, on the other hand, had to accept the second setback in succession, but still have a chance of third place on five match days. Phil Neumann (12th) had brought the hosts in the lead early on. But after an increase in performance in the second half, Elversberg still managed to turn the turn thanks to Fisnik Asllani (55./78./90.+8).
Both teams had a game at a high level of second division. In the first half, Hannover 96 was mostly tone. Especially after the leadership of Neumann, the hosts came into play better and better. The Elversberger, however, kept with a duel strength, but rarely brought themselves into promising final positions.
Ngankam injury as a low point for Hanover
After the break, the picture changed completely. The Elversberger came out of the cabin with swing, the hosts pushed in half in phases. Asllani completed a strong pass from Elias Baum to equalize. From Hannover 96 there was hardly anything to be seen on the offensive. Again it was Asslani who made the turn perfect with his 16th seasonor.
Sad high point of the game: In added time, Jessic Ngankam injured himself in a duel with Elversberg’s Paul Stock and had to be brought off the field on the stretcher. Asllanis third hit after was worth seeing, giving the Pechs from Ngankam into the background. As Hannover 96 announced in the evening, the 24-year-old broke the shin and fibula. He was operated on in the evening.
