no (yet) verdict from the LFP for the 55 million euros in unpaid amounts

The joint appeals committee of the Professional Football League put the matter of the contractual conflict between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé under advisement this Tuesday. We will therefore have to wait until October 25 to discover the final decision of the body before possible legal proceedings to resolve this conflict relating to nearly 55 million euros in unpaid salaries and bonuses.

The time for resolution has not yet arrived in the contractual conflict between Kylian Mbappé and PSG. Meeting this Tuesday before the members of the LFP joint appeals committee responsible for studying the appeal of the Ile-de-France club, the two parties learned that the body was placing the matter under advisement.

The court’s verdict is therefore expected on October 25 in this dispute between the 25-year-old striker and PSG. At the end of the hearing, the lawyers of the Ile-de-France club refused to make any comment while the player’s lawyer, Maître Delphine Verheyden, only briefly addressed the subject.

Both parties stick to their positions

Free party from PSG towards Real Madrid during the off-season, Kylian Mbappé then launched a procedure to recover unpaid salaries and bonuses to the tune of around 55 million euros.

If the 25-year-old striker considers himself in his right and refused any mediation, on the side of the Parisian management, we assure that the player’s contract had been modified by his various positions or promises before his departure to Spain. The Ile-de-France club is sticking to its positions and does not intend to pay such a sum to its former offensive star.

The LFP verdict should not spell the end of the case

On October 25, the LFP’s joint appeals committee will have to validate or refute the position of the legal committee which, in mid-September, ordered PSG to pay the 55 million euros owed to Kylian Mbappé.

A decision by the body which led to an appeal from the Parisian club. After the verdict of this joint commission, the last intervention of the LFP in this matter, Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain will be able to bring the matter before another institution: the FFF, the CNOSF or even the justice system with a procedure before a court administrative or industrial tribunal.
