Police comply with arrest warrants for bus attack with Bus with Cruzeirenses

The Civil Police, through the State Department of Homicides and Protection of Persons (DHPP), launched an operation on Tuesday to serve ten arrest warrants against the attack of Palmeiras’ main organized Alviverde to a bus with members of the uniformed Blue Mafia on 27 October last year. About 64 agents participate in the action in São Paulo. There is still no information about prisoners.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Bureau (SSP-SP), nine temporary arrest warrants are served, and one of preventive, as well as 12 court orders for search and seizure. The investigations identified new involved in the ambush, which ended with the death of a fan, several injuries and a burned bus.

By December, 17 people had already been arrested. Among them Jorge Luís Sampaio, President of Mancha Alviverde, and deputy Felipe Mattos.

The investigation was initiated by the Police Station for the Sports Intolerance (Drade) crimes. One of the suspects who had an arrest request against him had the determination revoked after the police station itself recognized that he missed the arrest of Henrique Moreira Lelis, who was 400 kilometers from where the crime happened.

The ambush occurred at dawn on October 27, on the Fernão Dias Highway, in Mairiporã, towards Belo Horizonte. The attack ended with the death of José Victor Miranda, 30, he was part of a group of the Blue Mafia, organized from Cruzeiro, Sete Lagoas (MG). Miranda was even admitted to the Gabriel Anjo Hospital in Mairiporã, in a very serious condition as a result of burns injuries and did not resist. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), which attended the occurrence on the day, was set fire to one of the buses of Cruzeirenses.

The case is understood as a “charging” of the Palmeirenses by a Cruzeiro fans against members of the Alviverde Mancha in 2022, also at Fernão Dias. At the time, Jorge Luís Sampaio Santos had his partner card, documents and credit cards torn from rivals during the confrontation, and was beaten and have videos on social networks. The confusion ended with four shot -injured fans.

Because of the ambush last year, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) determined that a match between Cruzeiro and Palmeiras, for the penultimate round of Brasileirão, was held with closed gates. The game ended 1-1. The episode also led the Special Defense Court of the São Paulo Court of Justice to debate the hypothesis of extending the imposition of a single crowd to interstate classics.
