Asadina Liga Kennedy is crowned in the top softball Game War

The Kennedy League beat the Paytons 10-3 to be crowned champions of the first Game War organized by the National District Softball Association (Asadina).

The victory went to Domingo Merán and the defeat to Ángel Salazar.

The offensive of the winners was led by Juan Carlos Almánzar, home run and single, with four RBIs; Willly Rosario, home run and single, with two RBIs and Jesús Batista, a home run, while for the defeated, Francisco Rosario and Carlos Hernández, a home run each.

Almánzar was chosen as the Most Valuable Player and Merán as the Most Outstanding Pitcher of the tournament that represented the Kennedy League champions with a cash prize of RD$150 thousand pesos.

“This has been a great event, where the softball family won, due to the level of competition, discipline and respect between teams, players, leaders and technical staff,” he said.
