His dream was to work in films with celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan. His dream was to see himself on the big screen. At the premiere of his last and first film, veteran director Anurag Kashyap came to meet him. His dream came true when he was counting his last breaths. ‘Malegaon’s Superman’ premiere ended at around 12 pm and died at 2 pm due to cancer. This premiere was organized by the maker in Malegaon itself and watched the film lying on the bed among his close ones at the last moment. At the age of 28, Shafiq said goodbye to the world. The sad thing is that the film ‘Superman of Malegaon’ gave a message against eating gutkha and Shafiq died of cancer due to excessive intake of gutkha. He appealed to the youth of Malegaon not to eat gutkha and 300-400 people stopped eating gutkha. The film ‘Superboys of Malegaon’ was released in theaters on February 28. Directed by Reema Kagti, the film has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti together.
